Intentionally designed. Intentionally sparse. Every element serves a purpose.

Quiet. Light. Thoughtfully furnished.
02
The Bed
Rest is the priority. Quality linens.
03

Coffee. Silence. The North Shore awaits.
Philosophy
Less noise.
More presence.
We believe hospitality is not about excess. It is about intention. Every detail in Little House on a County Rd has been considered, curated, and stripped of anything unnecessary.
Located on County Road 7 in Grand Marais, our lodging offers a quiet counterpoint to the world. Here, the only schedule is the sunrise over Lake Superior. The only requirement is presence.
"The best journeys are those that strip away everything but the essential."
